Meals
|
Meals will be provided at Great Lakes FrightFest, however we ask that you help out by bringing both a dish to pass for the pot luck dinner as well as additional food supplies that will be used to help feed everyone (See the registration form or email us at KK@GreatLakesFrightFest.com for information on how to do this).
We will provide:
Coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, hot coco, OJ, plates, bowls, napkins, plastic silverware, styrofoam cups, condiments
What to bring:
Your beverages, snacks, munchies, a Dish To Pass for the pot luck dinner and canned goods for the food drive!

Registration - Please register at the registration
tent to receive your GLFF wrist band (one per person) and "goody
bag" (one per family) this allows us to keep an accurate
head count of who attend. At that time you will also receive your
door prize ticket (one per adult). Please keep your ticket as
we will only be awarding door prizes by ticket number and not
by name. |

Prop Lighting and Triggers - Rick will show us how to
convert a string of LED lights into individual spots for accent
lighting your haunt. As well as how to build an inexpensive but
reliable pressure mat. Rick heads up D.A.F.E. (Darkride and Funhouse
Enthusiasts) a group devoted to promoting and preserving this
unique haunt forum at today's amusement parks. |

share his knowledge, with the Do's and Don't of wiring your haunt.
How to run power to all 1000 of your props and lights without
causing a fire or bringing down the eastern grid. |

Basic Introduction
of EFX-TEK's Prop 1 -
Jeff - the guru of the Halloween electronic /
robotic industry is going to demonstrate the versatility of the
Prop 1 controller board for your haunt. Ever wanted to have precise
control of the on - off and run times of all of your props, as
well as allowing various types of triggers all in one unit? Then
the Prop 1 is for you. Also EFX-TEK has donated a Prop 1 starter
kit will be raffled off during the GLFF. |

How to Photograph Your Haunt -
Brandon will give you hints on how to properly photograph your
haunt so that your pictures will actually show off your hours
of hard work. Everything from proper and special lighting effects,
to camera settings, to the camera and prop positioning. A "must
attend" for every haunter. |

from Beginning to End - Robert
is going to demonstrate how to properly design, make, mold, cast
and apply fabulous looking prosthetics for you and your actors.
Robert is a very talented artist from southern Michigan but has
done work for companies all over the United States including Disney.

for Beginners - The bits and
pieces of pneumatic prop building. What you need to get started
for building great animated props. Paul has won the "Best
Room" at GLFF 2 years running. If you forgot he did the dinning
room scene in 2007 and the toilet scene in 2008. Check out the

**** - Make and Take - **** Skull-
Paper Craft Box - Skull
- paper craft box as a fun and easy make and take. The only skill
required is being able to cut along a line and some folding and
taping. We ask that you bring a good pair of paper cutting scissors
so everyone has their own. This class is open to all; younger
children might require some assistance. Be sure to cut up with
all of your haunt friends and make a skull box. - No Charge for
the craft. |

U 101a - Now that you bought
that bodacious fogger - what to do with it. We'll show you some
great tips on how to get the best out of your fogger. From fog
chillers, to fog distribution and a demonstration of our new project
"The Fogger Fall". Many of you may already know Corey
from Minions Web a web site to offering many haunter "gotta
haves" as well as a great place to find ideas. |

**** - A Work Shop - **** Fog U 102 -
You learned the basics of what makes a fogger tick last year in
Fog U 101. Now bring your broken, barely working foggers and we
will show and help you get them up and running like new again.
This is a hands on work shop so if you can, please bring some
basic tools: - screw drivers, crescent wrench and pliers. Brian
has a full time job keeping Kkrazy Kkaren in the realm of the
real world without restricting her imagination. Check the message
board under the forum"GLFF Annual Fog Off" for more
details. |

Make Up & Prosthetic Kits -
Jon will show us how to properly use the makeup and prosthetics
pieces supplied in your typical store bought "injury kit"
for simple and realistic looking effects for your haunt or film.
Jon is one of "our kids" that has grown up at GLFF.
Over the years has learned alot from others and on his own and
has become a very respected talented haunter in his own right. |

and Props Lighting - Jeff
will show us different methods to light up your haunt and props
to get that effect you're looking for without giving away too
much detail. Also covered will be different ways to disguise your
light source, so the people only see the effect and not the light.
He will be using different types of lights so that you will be
able to decide what will work best in your haunt. |

- During this time we will be raffling

Annual "Fog Off" - Bring you biggest and baddest
fogger and/or chiller and help us celebrate the kick off of the
annual "Haunters Against Hunger" Haunted Houses. This
also helps eradicate the mosquitoes by fogging out the entire
campground. A sight to be seen. Also Corey Minion will be showing
off some of VEI's new high output 20,000 and 35, 000 cfm foggers
- fog your entire neighborhood. |

Hunger" Haunted Houses. This is our 8th Annual event
to raise non-perishables for both the St. Anne's Parish food bank
as well as the Monroe County Humane Society. |
